Product Description

Costa Calida Spanish are delighted to invite you the beautiful Bay of Mazarron with its unspoilt blue flag beaches for one of our week’s bespoke Pilates Holidays. You will stay in a luxury apartment with a balcony, sun terrace and access to a swimming pool. The mornings Monday to Friday will start with a leisurely breakfast in your apartment. Then there will be a one hour Pilates class followed by a one or one and half hour Yoga class. We will then go off on our afternoon excursion starting with lunch. Your tour guide will be incorporating a Spanish lesson during the afternoon excursion in a fun, relaxed and informal setting.

The afternoons will be spent on various activities and fascinating trips learning about the local history, visiting local historic sites, optional walks, wine tasting, cycle rides depending on the weather and of course what everyone would like to do. The area is steeped in history from prehistoric times to Phoenician, Roman and with many places of interest and excavated sites. A visit to Cartagena is a must to see the roman amphitheatre and excavations and the town of Mazarron to see the stunning mining features and old mining industry.

If you prefer to do your own thing on our Pilates Holidays and just relax the choice is yours. We can also organise fitness, walking, hiking, scuba diving, snorkelling, boat trips, dolphin boat trips (depending on weather) golf, tennis and much more.

Mazarron itself and the coastal areas are separated by Sierra de las Moreras, Sierra de las Herrerias and Sierra del Algorrabo being the ideal area for the practice of outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, cycling or climbing. If this is your thing, we can arrange this for you.

Evenings: We take you out to eat in different local Spanish restaurants or to a local bar for a drink.

Single travellers, solo travellers, couples and small groups are all welcomed on our Pilates Holidays. We will look after you all the time during your stay.

Travelling solo doesn’t have to mean travelling alone. All activities, meals, Spanish lessons and Pilates classes on our Pilates Holidays are in small groups with your holiday organiser on hand to help every step of the way.

She has been teaching Pilates for over 20 years and is also a qualified clinical personal fitness trainer.

Yoga Teacher: Lisa Gibbs

Lisa arrived in Spain fresh from training as an Astanga Yoga teacher in 2001.

Lisa brings an air of inspiration to the class and although trained in Astanga she is able to adapt the class for those who need a more gentle approach whilst still maintaining the synchronisation of breath and movement that has been her forte.

Classes are adapted to each individual so that not one person feels stuck: bringing in new adaptations through her continual study of the yoga practice.

“Classes involve a series of moving and stationary poses, combined with deep breathing. Allowing the heart to open within each person, to move through creating a form (asana) continuing to flow through our connection with breath (Prana), generating an inner peace and balance which opens our path for spiritual growth. Each individual obtains confidence to love and be loved and to shine throughout their daily lives, creating a peace and harmony not just within each of us but in everybody we come in contact with”

Lisa was certified to teach yoga from the Lay Buddhist monk Kisen whose own third lineage to Sri T Krishnamacharya made him such a sort after master in 80’s and 90’s.

She has also studied with Laura Henderson (Hatha yoga with Alexander technique) and Earnest Coates (Living Yoga).
