I absolutely loved your yoga method. I felt very healthy and lighter at the end. The accommodation and staff were all 1st class.
I can honestly say, I’m letting things go easier. I’m not taking everyone’s problems or business onboard and i can go back to my breathing and hips easier and with not a lot of effort. I gained so much out of the 10 days. I’m more relaxed, laughing more and generally feel good about myself.
Thank you so much again Fiona, you’re brilliant at what you do.

YOUR TEACHER AND ECO-JOURNEY FACILITATOR

Meet WILD AWAKE founder, Fiona Galloway — your experienced nature-based travel guide, yoga teacher, and curator of extraordinary journeys for the soulful traveller.

Fiona has a strong background in eco tourism guiding, outdoor leadership, marine conservation management, event planning, 17 years of yoga teaching and holistic bodywork. With direct experience and learning in these fields spanning 20+ years, you can journey with Fiona and know you are in safe hands.

Fiona has been a Hatha yoga teacher since 2001 (primarily Sivandanda Vedanta Yoga Organisation) and specialising in Yin Yoga (student of Victor Chng, Yin Yoga in Asia) since 2009. Her gentle and intuitive approach suitably guides students into practices that allow them to curiously explore the deeper layers of them self. Since a health crisis in 2011, Fiona is now largely focused on sharing the healing benefits of Yin Yoga which was the foundation of her own path to wellness and a return to vitality. She shares her first hand experience in cultivating a more positive and grounded presence in life and a more open and connected way of relating to the world around you.

Fiona is passionate about facilitating people’s connection to nature, and ultimately their connection to self, through these holistic practices (yoga and mediation) and sustainable travel. She sees her purpose being to create unique experiences that cultivate intention and learning — supporting her students and clients in creating positive transformations to their bodies, minds and lives — and making a positive impact on the world around them.

For the past 5 years under the identity of ‘Yoga Blu : Australia’, Fiona’s yoga travel adventures to Indonesia and Sri Lanka have grown in their ongoing support of grassroots, marine conservation projects in need. This quest will continue, expand offerings and come into its maximum potential with the launch of WILD AWAKE — the new chapter!

Fresh, nutritious, combination of raw and cooked with Sri Lankan styling and a whole foods focus. Locally grown and sourced as much as possible. Special diets can be ate red for with advance notice.

Our accommodation will range from exotic jungle bound tree houses, a local hill country hotel, glamping in coastal eco tents and then settling for a restful dose in a sustainably built eco-lodge in the South. Nature and local bird & wildlife are our primary companions throughout.
