Teacher/Teachings

Jasmine Sara
Jasmine first came to yoga 11 years ago aged 15. She found it to be incredibly valuable during a stressful period of her life. Since then, having used her own Yoga and meditation practice to deal with various issues, she has a good understanding of the ways in which Yoga can help to lead a more balanced and centred life, and help to build resilience. She is passionate about sharing this with others.

She trained in Astanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga in India and went on to study advanced modules in Yoga Therapeutics with Yoga Therapies, UK. She teaches Slow Flow, Dynamic Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Yoga for beginners, Astanga, Yin and Yoga Dance.

In the UK, Jasmine was teaching around 10 classes a week at various locations from gyms to yoga studios to community centres. She also led and assisted at surf and yoga workshops as well as organising community based yoga events and volunteer teaching with a local charity. She is currently travelling South America and was most recently teaching on retreats in Brazil.

Jasmine’s gentle, calming and supportive approach holds a safe space for you to come to the mat and flow through your Yoga practice. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced yogi, her classes will give you the time and space to reconnect with yourself, relax and nourish your body.

Jane Anderson
Jane Anderson is a yogi, both teacher & eternal student; a holistic health and movement coach & a bodywork and massage therapist.

Jane celebrates the joy and potential of optimal health and happiness through integrated practices exploring movement and stillness.

In early life Jane was a track athlete which immersed her in many principles and methods of movement & optimal training. Participating in a diverse array of sports both competitively and for fun cultivated a love and fascination for the human body.

Since becoming a movement coach in 2012 - Jane progressively began to cultivate a more holistic approach.

Jane incorporated massage & bodywork therapy to allow for a more healing and balanced method. Using aromatherapy, sound, breath, intention and intuition to cultivate deeply restorative states.

Practicing yoga for around 20 years led Jane to deepen her own practice and complete 200hour YTT in early 2018 with Andrea Everingham. Feeling profound shifts in her life with the application of asana and other limbs of yoga compelled her to learn this ancient art to share in her way with the people she encounters.

From dynamic and sweaty vinyasa, fun animal shape classes to deeply restorative and more breath and meditation focussed sessions - Jane is happy to meet you where you are on the day and at this stage of your life.

Jane teaches in London and travels with clients worldwide to help them stay happy, healthy and balanced.

Food

During this retreat, you will be served three organic vegan and vegetarian daily meals. Upon booking your retreat, you will be asked about your diet preferences and we can cater for special diets such as lactose or gluten intolerant.

All meals are at set times in the dining area and are shared among all guests and teachers. The menu consists of a combination of Romanian & Western vegan dishes.

A typical breakfast and lunch are served buffet style consisting of organic produce such as porridge, chia seed smoothie bowl, fruits, brown rice, quinoa, sweet potato, salads, homemade whole grain bread, and many more mouthwatering dishes made by their chef.

For dinner, they offer a sit-down family style meal with hot soups, lentils, stuffed peppers, vegan sarmale, polenta, and much more.

Their delicious plant-based menu is designed to fortify your overall health and well-being using organic unprocessed seasonal produce with the highest nutrient content possible.

A combination of ingredients that not only work in a delicious mouthful but act as anti-inflammatory and alkaline foods that balance hormones, blood sugar, and blood pressure.

The application of chakra balancing foods and integrative medicine principles creates a colorful and complete menu balanced in carbohydrates, good fats, and proteins full of minerals, vitamins, and bioflavonoids (the color pigment of fruits and vegetables that have an important role in strengthening the immune system).

Food that is not only delicious and easily digested but deeply nourishing, sustaining, healing, and energy-boosting.

The aim is that you will pick up good habits from being on the retreat and that you will continue to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle back home using essential principles about food and nutrition that are easily applicable in your daily lives.

Eating organic is about avoiding chemical additives and genetically modified organisms, eliminating an unnatural, potentially harmful component from your health equation.

Organic produce grows slowly because that is how nature intended it, unaltered by pesticides and chemicals designed to prolong shelf life. Organic is also about supporting and encouraging your local farmer and fruit and vegetable supplier.

When you eat organic, you also eat seasonally, you become aware and appreciative of what is available now, rather than all the varieties you could have instead.

You appreciate the food by what it is, when you have it and how much more nutrient and flavor it has when it is eaten and cooked fresh.

They visit the farms they work with, they look at how farmers produce their food and they only choose sustainable and certified organic produce.

What is not offered:

Alcohol

What is offered:

Chakra balancing juices and smoothies, these daily chakra balancing smoothies are made with cold-pressed juices, vegetable, milk, organic fruits, vegetables, and essential fatty oils such as flaxseed oil and organic superfood powders.

Each juice is dedicated to one specific energy center and they guarantee it will make you radiate energy throughout the day.

      Testimonials

      Testimonials:

Absolutely stunning location! Owner was a pleasure to meet and spend time with...
Only had a short 4 day stay at Akasha but I would highly recommend for any Yogi's out there who want to travel to Easter Europe but also experience a comfortable and exiting yoga experience.

Daniela, the owner, was fantastic, always helpful and always willing to go a bit further to ensure our stay was comfortable. She has time to chat to all the guests at dinnertime which is always nice as her story is amazing i would definitely say have a chat with her she's great! Irina was also very helpful in the booking process!

Staff were fantastic, all the girls in the kitchen always have a smile and keen to help.
OOO also the dogs are fantastic, Bursuc and Luna being a genuine highlight of my tripp

      Highly Highly recommend!!

"Amazing wellness retreat in a fantastic location!!
I did my first mini yoga retreat in this place! Everything was amazing: the location, the house, the great vegan food, the yoga staff, the caring owner, and all the people we met there. I lived a fantastic experience of nature, yoga, people bonding and delicious healthy food eating. I recommend this little peace of heaven experience to anyone who wants to take a break from the hassles of daily life and reconnect with themselves, nature and other fantastic people."

"After being on a restorative retreat with Akasha in April 2018 (which was phenomenal) I attended my Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training here in March 2019.
This course was more than I could have ever imagined! Covering Ashtanga/Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative I feel I have a well rounded knowledge of yoga styles. I received an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, teaching methodology and coaching.
Days were well broken up and lots of options given for days off. Knowledge of local area/walks and activities provided.
Massage therapist on site was very useful due to the high volume of practice. Staff were on always on hand to answer questions and make our time in Akasha enjoyable.
The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I cannot recommend it enough!
I will be forever grateful to Akasha for my experience and highly recommend them for retreats/training."
