Description of the Retreat

This is the only applied mindfulness retreat in the world. The content has been adapted from the hugely successful online course by TeamUp that over 1500 people have taken in over 50 countries.

Now you can experience this unique content in a 7 day personalised retreat experience in a small group of 12 people. Alongside daily yoga and meditation classes, you will learn how to apply mindfulness wisdom to your own life, in order to change or improve the areas that are important to you.

You’ll be learning the tools to use in your life to reduce stress and anxiety, increase your natural resilience, nurture your inner calm, connect on a deeper level to your loved ones and inspire you to create your ideal life. Breaking free of old behaviour habits and creating new ones.

This is brought to you by mindfulness facilitators and coaches Aaron Quinn and Kate Greenslade, with the wonderful guest yoga teacher Natalie Smit-Ash (of Chillout Retreats).

You will have a 1-1 coaching call with one of the facilitators before you arrive at the retreat to help you identify what you’d like to change or explore. After the retreat you will also receive 3 monthly 1-1 calls to support you on your ongoing journey of change. To really help you ingrain your new habits and behaviours for a better version of you!

Teacher/Teachings

Aaron Quinn is an executive coach and has a passion for understanding what it is that makes some people happier, healthier and more effective at what they do. He combines fearless questioning with lightness and humour and is able to help people shift perspective and uncover what truly motivates them. He then actively supports them in moving forward.

Kate Greenslade is a mindfulness facilitator and coach and has a passion for personal development and understands how people can live their lives with less stress and more meaning and fulfilment. She started out in yoga and meditation, then discovered how to apply mindfulness more deeply to change the patterns of behaviour that limit us from living the lives we truly want to live. Having trained with a former monk and mindfulness coach, she now runs her own coaching practice in the UK, offering one to one programs as well as retreats.

Natalie Smit-Ash (BA Hons, Dip, MICHT) is the founder and director of chillout retreats and has practiced yoga for over 25 years. She is a hatha yoga teacher, a fully qualified Holistic Therapist & Reiki Master/Teacher and has over 15 years of qualification, expertise and experience in the field of Complementary Health. Natalie has completed massage training in Thailand, practiced yoga in India and expanded her knowledge of Aromatherapy and Reflexology in Australia and China.

Facilities

The retreat is in the Madonie natural park, 650m above the sea level, 40km from the coastal area of Cefalù, and about 100km from Palermo and Catania.

You have the exclusive use of the Masseria with it's 13 bedrooms, various lounge areas, indoor and outdoor eating / seating areas, a large pool and wifi. You have an in house chef who will be preparing healthy vegetarian food each day from local fresh produce.

Practicing mindfulness regularly, has completely changed my life. The way I feel about my relationships and the way I approach and perceive stressful and challenging situations has altered and I’m now a lot more resilient to the challenges of every day life.

I facilitate an applied mindfulness online course for TeamUp, an organisation based in Thailand, and I coach individuals to support and empower them on their personal development and journeys.

I spend my time between London and Burnham on Crouch, a small sailing town on the east coast, and I travel whenever I can. I love horses, cooking, jazz and I’m learning to play the drums.

    WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE

    7 nights from Saturday 7th Sept (5pm) - Saturday 14th Sept 2019 (10am)
    Cotton sheets and towels
    One room clean during the week
    3 vegetarian / vegan buffet meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). All locally sourced, fresh produce.

    GETTING THERE

    The nearest airports are Catania and Palermo and are about 1.5 hour drive from the Retreat. Direct flights are available from all European cities with Ryanair, Easyjet and all the other main low cost companies.

    We also offer an optional Shuttle service on request for a small cost.
