Description of the Retreat

We will be journeying to 28 acres of secluded and ancient Welsh woodlands, inviting the archetype of the Greek Goddess, Persephone, as we descend into hidden realms where she reigns as Sovereign Queen.

An immersive four day experience in nature will allow us to explore ourselves through both ancient and contemporary practices.

🍂 Featuring Dj and music producer Mind Like Water (Michelle Cade) and Historian Dr. Carla Ionescu.
All levels of experience are welcomed.

Teacher/Teachings

Guest Speaker Dr Carla Ionescu (Canada)

Dr. Ionescu spends most of her time teaching in the field of Ancient History and Women’s Studies, and constructing The Artemis Centre, a virtual (and eventually physical) platform where everyone can learn, collaborate and enjoy stories of mythology and ritual culture. Carla hopes to share all her discoveries with everyone who is passionate about ancient spiritualities and the mysteries of the divine feminine.

Guest Muscian Michelle Cade

Michelle Cade, AKA Mind Like Water, is a sound practitioner, electronic music producer, DJ, singer and Ayurvedic massage therapist who specialises in nourishing and relaxing immersive sound experiences.
Mind Like Water Music is a unique fusion of sound healing and electronic soundscapes, binaural beats, sounds of nature and voice. She is currently exploring and researching Cymatics, the study of visible sound and vibration to further inform her work.

Shamana Mila

Mila is a bodywork therapist and currently undertakes a Psychosynthesis postgraduate diploma. At age 12, she found herself in the Terra Mirim Shamanic Community and since then has dedicated her life to deepening the initiations learnt directly from Indigenous elders. Mila carries profound wisdom and nurturing presence in her sharing circles.

Ria Eagle

Ria is a remedial Pilates instructor, dance artist and Reiki practitioner. Her practices are woven to create a unique and multi-layered approach to healing. Being renowned for the depth of her guidance and precise feedback, she unravels layers often hidden from the participant’s awareness.

Facilities

Penpynfarch is a 28 acre secluded smallholding, tucked away in the rolling Welsh hills of Carmarthenshire, a wild place holding tight to its mythic history.

Ancient oaks stand tall in the deciduous woodland on the banks of the valley which holds at its heart, a spring-fed lake encompassed by the river Gwyddil. It is here, in a clearing, where we hold camp for connection and prayer, surrounded by rich nature which has lived here for time immemorial.
