Description of the Retreat

In 2007, Fivelements was conceived as an integrated wellness lifestyle company whose authentic destinations offer an opportunity for inspiration, awareness and progress in the 21st century. Its focus is on designing high impact wellness strategies aimed at supporting individuals, couples and organisations enduring life transitions and transformation. Motivated by a vision for a better, happier and healthier world, our guests and partners have come to be known as “the change-makers of today and tomorrow.”

What began as a leap of faith, embraced by its founders in unspoken terms, became a reality driven by a strong will and a mission to participate in the emerging transformation economy.

Founded by six individuals, hailing from Bali, Italy, Switzerland and USA, sharing a wealth of experience in the fields of international business, culture-based brand equity building, communications and public relations, holistic health, hospitality and spiritual dialogue. The managing directors bring 25 years in creative entrepreneurship in developing and implementing progressive concepts and strategies for new market segments in USA, Europe and Asia. They are committed to expanding the mission of Fivelements into new models and international markets.

Fivelements successful foundation would not be possible without the amazing people whom over time have become part of the greater Fivelements family.

Fivelements, Bali opened in late 2010 as the first of a new genre of wellness destinations bridging the wisdom of traditional healing cultures with innovative wellness concepts. To date, the eco-wellness retreat has been recognised with eighteen international awards spanning across hotel, wellness, spa, culinary and sustainable design industries. Fivelements has earned its position as an innovative leader in wellness concept design, retreats and programmes, plant-based innovative cuisine and wellness hospitality worldwide.

In early 2017, Fivelements will launch their first urban retreat in Hong Kong.

The co-founders’ intention is to co-create healing and wellness concepts and destinations that share:

  • A vision for love and its power to transform
  • An aspiration for bridging the wisdom, philosophies and healing practices of traditional cultures with innovative wellness services
  • An eco-consciousness linking our mission to inspiring design

By focusing our efforts toward this, we will collectively make a greater impact on the wellness of humanity. Love all, serve all.

With a focus on high impact wellness strategies, Fivelements is extending their concept across various models in unique cultural destinations and financial centres.

    Overall Experience

I researched a lot to find a wellness retreat where I could reset myself as I was going through a transition in life. Ultimately I booked with Five Elements for a 3 day retreat and couldn’t have been more happy.

From the moment you pull up your immediately at peace. When you arrive to your room, you’re breathless. The sound of the stream out back, outdoor shower and tranquility of the room were just what I needed.

I selected my classes/treatments and also added a few. From the massages, to meditating with a monk, learning more about mindfulness, getting a personal yoga lesson, enjoying the warmth of a water treatment to the final fire ceremony you’re left feeling as if you’re floating on air. There isn’t one part that I can stay stood out, it’s the overall experience that really helped me reset mentally and physically as I was going through a big change in life. As i was leaving I said I was concerned I would forget how at peace I felt while there when I returned to life in NYC. I still channel all that I learned and experienced at Five Elements.

At first I was a little skeptical about the raw food diet as I’m not a vegetarian/vegan or anything of the like. The food was absolutely delicious!! I was full all the time. When I left I commented that my mind did feel so clear and sharp!

I have talked about my stay here to all my friends and family and hope that I can someday make it back. It was exactly what I need and I’m so grateful for my experience here.

Food

Living foods provide life force. Fundamental to personal health and a healthy planet, they support natural healing through cleansing to help us reach our highest potential. By integrating raw living foods into our daily lives, we can look forward to wellness, greater energy and mental clarity, a positive outlook on life and spiritual awakening.

Living or raw foods are highly rejuvenating. Plant-based foods in their original, un-heated (uncooked) state are considered raw and alive. They include fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, seaweed and fresh juices. When prepared uncooked or in a special dehydrating food dryer at less than 48 °C / 118°F , they retain the vital life force nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, oxygen) and living enzymes required to digest food, repair cellular damage and create billions of healthy new cells every day.

Raw food provides the maximum amount of energy with minimal bodily effort, and have been proven to help heal degenerative conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. These nutrient-rich foods are also effective in treating allergies, digestive disorders, weak immune systems, high cholesterol, obesity and weight problems, as well as various mental, emotional and skin disorders.
