Description of the Retreat

Green Tara Yoga Retreat invites you to escape into solitude for three days of breath, focus and centering. This all inclusive retreat is meant for for a solo traveler or for you and a friend/partner. Each experience is specifically designed to meet your personal practice, fitness level, and is suitable for both beginners and those who are familiar with yoga.
Check in is at 3pm and after relaxing with a welcome tea, we will head into the studio and begin. This afternoon we will explore aerial yin and passive Thai Yoga, finishing with a gentle transition into floating meditation. After dinner, time is set aside this evening for journaling and contemplation.
The next morning we will begin our day with more traditional yoga, focusing on sun salutation and pranayama. Pranayama is the regulation of breath and we will be learning about and practicing Kapalbhati, Ujjayi and Nadi Shodhana. Awareness of breath and then synchronizing breath and movement is what makes yoga, yoga. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the practice. A light breakfast will be served, followed by personal time for journaling, meditation or contemplation in our lovely solarium. Later that morning you will be pampered during a 90 min deep tissue massage, with lunch served afterward. That afternoon we will meet back in the studio for aerial yoga (90 min) and floating meditation followed by an introduction to Tibetan singing bowls. After dinner, the evening is yours for contemplation and journaling.
The next morning we meet for our final yoga session followed by an energy healing session. After breakfast, if you choose, my final offering before you depart is a tarot card reading, to help guide you on your path. Check out is at 11am.
