Description of the Retreat

A Yoga and Meditation retreat in the peaceful Himalayan mountains. Come stay for 7 full days and 8 nights. Begin with a Vedic fire ceremony the first night then wake up with the birds for morning meditation and Yoga class.

We teacher Classical Hatha and pranayama in the morning and Hatha flow in the evening. The meditation will usually begin with some group chanting to still the mind then some guidance as we go into silent meditation. Each person will be given individual instructions based on his or her consciousness/experience.

All meals are included, we serve Vegetarian sattvic food. It is simple, and nutritious.

Accomadation is in either shared twin room or a dormitory (4 bed and 6 bed)

Teacher/Teachings

Vimal is the co-founder of Silence of Souls, and will be leading meditations, vedic ceremonies, philosophy, and music. Born into a Brahmin family he spent his early childhood being educated in Ashrams. After spending some time out in the world he has found a peaceful place for meditation in the mountains. It's here he continues his inner work and welcomes guests.

Ryan is the Yoga Asana teacher at the retreat. He began his spiritual journey four years ago in India. He left Canada with a longing for self discovery. This longing guided him to yoga and meditation which became a new way of life. As he traveled he taught wherever he could. For 4 years he traveled and taught in retreats, hostels, parks, studios; wherever there were people wanting to learn yoga. His background as a Kinesiologist gives him a deep understanding of the human body. He has now been living in India for a year deepening his practice.
