Whitchester offers to individuals, families and groups a place to retreat and rest from the busyness and pressures of every-day life. We are a Christian community committed to creating a safe space for relaxation and restoration, and we invite you to experience the peaceful ambience of our 19th Century Dower House and enjoy simply ‘being’. Our home cooked food is made with as much of our own fruit and vegetables grown on site as possible, and we strive to ensure that our hospitality makes you feel comfortable and at home. Our woodland and gardens provide a colourful space to take a stroll with a variety of bird life on view and, on occasion, a few deer!

Whether you are in need of a retreat or simply wanting a holiday in a beautiful and peaceful setting, you are assured of a warm welcome. We hope you will leave us, as many of our guests do, with happy memories and a desire to return again and again.

Although we are not affiliated to any denomination, we have long-standing links with the local churches in Hawick and the surrounding areas. The rhythms of our community are Christian, but our doors are open to all – those of any faith or none.
