Day 1 - Welcome to your Cuba getaway
Today, you will arrive in Cuba, and Ludisis will pick you up at José Martí International Airport (HAV). You will be transferred to 'Casa Particular' (guest house), the trip is about 35 minutes. Upon arrival, your local hosts will give you a warm welcome and show you your room. To immerse in the pure Cuban culture, you will head to the Ludisis neighborhood to discover 'the real life of Cubans'. In this non-tourist neighborhood, you can appreciate the lives of the locals, learn about the Cuban currency and the peculiar and lively bustling life of Havana residents.
In the afternoon, you will have a welcome ceremony in which you will meet with the other participants and have dinner together in a local paladar (privately owned restaurant) (dinner not included).
Day 2 - Viñales Valley, 'natural cathedral of Cuba'
Today in the morning, Yalorde Yoga invites you to a relaxing session of Hatha yoga and meditation that will transport you to self-observation and prepare for the rest of the day's activities. Your local hosts will prepare a delicious breakfast in which you will be served with tropical fruits such as guava or papaya. Then you will visit the west of the Cuban provinces, the provinces' main attraction is its natural beauty.
Today, you will visit the natural cathedral of Cuba. The province of Pinar del Rio is not only famous for the Viñales Valley, Unesco's world cultural landscape, but also for cultivating the best tobacco in the world. You will receive a captivating tobacco tour and workshop and you will get to know the protagonists of Cuban tobacco cultivation.
Today, you will have free time to discover this natural treasure. You will be accommodated in a private house (pension, one night in the Viñales). Transfers from Havana to Viñales round trip is included in public tourist bus. Activities included today is guidance and demonstrative tour on Cuban tobacco. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included this day.
Day 3 - Day excursion to 'a hidden virgin key'
Retreat yourself in a hidden island of four square kilometers of surface that belongs to the Archipelago of the Colorados, near Viñales Valley. Here, you will enjoy one of the most pristine beaches of Cuba, white sands, and turquoise waters where you can enjoy the Caribbean tranquillity. To recreate and enjoy this key to the maximum, you can hire some optional excursions to dive on the reefs, for which it is necessary to travel by boat. You can also rent water bikes and snorkel in the nearby reefs. Revitalize and end your day with a relaxing session of Hatha yoga and Meditation on the shores of this beautiful Tuquesa beach.
Day 4 - Exploring Havana inside out
Today after having breakfast in Viñales, you will make a trip down to Havana. An Afro Cuban culture heritage workshop with a priest of the Afro-Cuban culture awaits you today. It will be an exciting experience that you will love. A salsa dance lesson with Ludisis is included. Be amazed and immerse yourself in the culture and history of the Cuban capital as you walk through Old Havana.
You will enter its historic center, which, together with its fortification system, was declared a World Heritage Site in 1982 by UNESCO. The historical center of Havana has 3370 buildings, the majority of great environmental, and heritage value. Walking through this walled city, you will know its most characteristic symbols such as El Capitolio, El Templete, La Giraldilla, and El Castillo de Los Tres Reyes del Morro.
You will also appreciate the five main squares that define the physiognomy of the old city: Arms, San Francisco de Assis Square, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza Vieja, and Plaza del Cristo. Tonight, you will have the chance to attend a concert of traditional Cuban music in Havana (ticket not included). Today's accommodation will be at Casa Particular (pension, one night in Havana). Transfers from Viñales to Havana, the return trip is included by a public tourist bus.
Activities included are a walking tour through Old Havana in English, Afro-Cuban workshop with a priest of the Afro-Cuban culture, and salsa dance session. Activities that are up to the individual are the museum of the revolution (5 CUC), the national museum of fine arts (5 CUC), vintage car tour, and Buena Vista social club show and dinner (70 CUC). Breakfast is included on this day.
Day 5 - Totally immersed in the Cuban culture
Enjoy a session of Hatha yoga and Vipassana meditation as a farewell ceremony. Salsa dance lesson, breakfast, and departure at Casa Particular in Havana. Transfer to the José Martí International Airport (HAV) in Havana (included).
