Description of the Retreat

A Yoga and Cycling weekend based from Godshill Park Barn on the Isle of Wight. An undiscovered gem for cycling, quiet roads, new tarmac and iconic views make for a wonderful weekend on the road. Yoga will complement our activities, providing a sweet balm to ease the muscles and bring a gentle mindful awareness to our days.

We’ll be meeting in Ryde on the Friday afternoon, dropping bags in the taxi and cycling to the farm before a relaxing yoga class in the evening. After a morning meditation class and hearty breakfast, we will join the round the island route. There will be a 60 mile and 40 mile option for riders, followed by a yoga class on the Saturday evening. On Sunday we will enjoy a longer yoga class in the morning before a hearty brunch before cycling the East of the Wight and returning guests to Ryde for travel back to mainland. Local electric bike hire is available for those with cycling ambitions that exceed their current training.

Teacher/Teachings

Emma has twenty years of yoga teaching experience and six years of triathlon participation culminating last year in a full long distance event. She is a British Triathlon Federation Activator and is qualified to head rides. She will be joined by her husband Steve Goodier, a GB age group athlete for long course triathlon.

Facilities

Beautiful en-suite bedrooms in a purpose built retreat barn.

      Practical Information

      Hearty dinner and lunch are provided each day. We'll stop at a popular cycling cafe for lunch on Saturday which is not included in the price.
